End of Rainbow House

Parents have been given six weeks to find new childcare after the closure of an outstanding charity nursery.

From this afternoon's Lancashire Evening Post –

Rainbow House in Mawdesley, will close on August 31 after changes in funding and new legislation caused it to become unprofitable.

Seventy three families have six weeks in which to make 'alternative arrangements if necessary'. As for staff – is not known how many of the 14 staff will lose their jobs.

There is quite a bit more in this local newspaper report, but perhaps I shall not be alone in finding it unclear from this what is happening.

This could be read as saying that it is the Conductive Education component of the organisation's activities that is being cut.

It might become clearer...
